The Scimitar RGB Elite is large and heavy. At 6.9 x 4.5 x 3.1 inches and 9.6 ounces, this mouse is suitable for palm claws and arm claws. The smooth surface of the mouse is made of rubber, with the Corsair fully equipped ship logo on the bottom. At the front, there is a scroll wheel structured with two DPI buttons underneath. On the right side, there is a structured recess to rest the little finger or ring finger.

The second and fourth rows of buttons are structured so that they are easy to identify and can defend against embarrassing attacks from fat fingers. The keyboard itself can be slid forward or backward using the included key slider. However, the odometer reading may vary on the iCUE, Corsair software and driver. The Scimitar RGB Elite is not a plug-and-play device, so the sophisticated side keyboard I just praised is dead weight, unless you download iCUE and program all the commands.
Hardcore gamers will love iCUE for the customization it offers, but the software can also be a hassle for players who want a solid gaming mouse and are not interested in the details of adjusting the light scheme.
Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite Review – Performance
I used the agile Logitech G Pro Gaming and haven’t grabbed it for years, so I was surprised by the naturalness of Scimitar in my hand. I was concerned about the layout of the side keyboard, which seemed too small and too full. But in practice, the adjustable positioning and alternating lines of the structure made navigation easier. I play a druid in World of Warcraft, a class known for its infamous large-capacity pool.
Thanks to the intuitive side keyboard, I was able to heal my teammates on a rotating basis, convert it into a cat shape for security, and then return to the rotating form to send battle prayers, all without having to stretch my fingers across the keyboard. But although it was designed specifically for MMOs and MOBAs, Scimitar was also a surprisingly useful FPS mouse. Pointing my arm at this mouse was a breeze. Even aiming, the pulse felt precise and smooth.
The finger rests and the tapered end on the right side left my wrist and the bottom of the palm rest on the mouse pad, giving me the foundation I needed to make subtle motor movements. Following goals with the arm and cutting with the wrist, I could easily appear in Overwatch and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
