The best Lenovo laptops consistently rank at the top of our overall Best Laptops ranking. From the excellent ThinkPad business laptops to the sleek yoga notebook to the affordable Ideapad laptops, Lenovo offers something for all types of users. On the horizon is the exciting Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, the first PC with a flexible, foldable display. If you’re looking for something traditional, the rumored ThinkPad X1 Nano will be a 13-inch competitor to the XPS 13.

Equally exciting is that a whole fleet of business laptops will run on AMD’s new Ryzen Pro 4000 chips, which have proven to be worthy opponents of the Intel Core Chips.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Best business laptop in the world

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

Lenovo has made our favorite business laptop even better by enhancing its speakers, giving it a sleek carbon fiber structure, and adding some useful security features, including a webcam shutter and an IR camera. You’ll even get distant field microphones in case you need a digital assistant. What’s more, you get the strong performance and fast SSD. This means that if you are working on large spreadsheets with many calculations, the X1 Carbon will process them with aplomb.

You also get a long battery life (on the 1080p model) and two beautiful, 1080p, and 4K display options, all in an impossibly lightweight chassis. But it’s that classic ThinkPad X1 features a durable (military tested) chassis, best-in-class keyboard, and stylish black/red aesthetics, that carry the X1 Carbon to greatness. Overall, this is one of the best Lenovo laptops that you can buy right now.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga

Performance of ThinkPad in a 2-in-1 form factor

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

Lenovo took a chance with the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, the first metal ThinkPad, and it paid off. While we still love the distinctive matte-black carbon fiber found on most ThinkPads, the aluminum and magnesium ThinkPad X1 Yoga is an excellent change of pace. Not only does it have a sleek design, but this convertible 2-in-1 shows off a clear display and offers a best-in-class keyboard and long battery life. You’ll also get lots of extra goodies, like a built-in stylus slot and a webcam cover. There is simply no better business convertible than the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, apart from HP’s beautiful new Elite Dragonfly.

Lenovo Yoga C940

The best 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

With the Yoga C940, Lenovo took a formula and refined it. Subtle design improvements, long battery life (up to 11:46), and updated 10th generation Intel’s processors make the Lenovo Yoga C940 a worthy successor to last year’s excellent Yoga C930. As you would expect from a Yoga series laptop, the C940 has a premium, ultra-portable chassis and a unique hinge that also serves as a soundbar speaker. As a 2-in-1, that hinge can rotate 360 degrees to turn the Yoga C940 into a real tablet.

When it comes to viewing content, the Yoga C940’s 1080p and 4K displays are clear, rich, and vibrant; beware, the Ultra-HD display takes the battery out of sight. For the basics, my favorite things about the Yoga C940 are the extra features. These include a webcam cover (no more tape needed), a slot for the included stylus, and a fingerprint sensor. Overall, this is one of the best Lenovo laptops that you can buy right now.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme

Great power, the massive price tag

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

If you have the resources for an unstoppable workhorse, Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Extreme mobile workstation is the best laptop to program for you. It gets our vote as one of the best Lenovo laptops for many reasons. It has different configurations at your fingertips, depending on your needs and budget. Still, in its most basic way, it’s already pretty powerful, packaged with a rugged graphics card in a robust carbon fiber and aluminum package that will survive any office or field. Currently, this is the best laptop for programming that you can buy right now.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet

The best budget 2-in-1 Chromebook

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

Sometimes it’s incredible how much you can get for $300 or less. For example, the Chromebook Duet is a 2-in-1 Chromebook that offers something Microsoft’s Surfaces and Apple’s iPads don’t: the keyboard is included as standard. Not only do you get that value, but the tablet display of the Chromebook Duet is excellent in itself, with a surprising amount of color reproduction and a sharp 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution.

Smaller hands may find the Chromebook Duet’s keyboard a little on the tight side, but for this price, every keyboard is a surprise and a steal. The Chromebook Duet features ChromeOS tablet optimizations that are long overdue to take advantage of all the space on the screen. And all that? It took 12 hours and 47 minutes, almost 13 hours. Overall, this is one of the best Lenovo laptops right now.

Lenovo Legion Y7000

A budget gaming laptop

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

The Lenovo Legion Y7000 is one of the best Lenovo laptops for hardcore gamers who aren’t looking to break the bank. Its Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU allows you to play most modern games at the maximum settings with silky smooth frame rates, and you will be able to play virtually all games on some mix of medium and high. The Legion Y7000 also has enough RAM (16GB) to keep the system relevant for a few years.

The minuscule storage space (256GB) is a big drawback, mostly since some modern games suck up 100GB on their own. But the Y7000 offers quite a total value that makes it one of the better gaming-laptop options for economical techies.

Lenovo Legion Y545

A decent gaming laptop with a price of just over $1000

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

The Lenovo Legion Y545 offers intense gaming and overall performance with a subdued, business-like look – all at an affordable price. With an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti GPU and an Intel Core i7 CPU, the Legion Y545 is the best low-cost gaming laptop that keeps its competitors at bay. Instead of a flashy light show, Lenovo opted for a sophisticated, subtle design that makes it fit in an office environment or a LAN party.

The laptop’s discreet Nvidia graphics chip delivers a surprising amount of power, with above-average results. And if you’re not gaming, the laptop’s Core i7 processor is more than capable of creating spreadsheets, making light video edits, and, of course, watching movies on the beautiful 1080p screen. And despite the price, the laptop also delivers a comfortable keyboard and excellent audio. In short, it’s one of the best Lenovo laptops.

Lenovo Legion Y540

One of the best VR-ready gaming laptop

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact_extra next=1]

The Lenovo Legion Y540 shuns the 16GB limitation for built-in RAM with a 24GB model. This specification hits the sweet spot between powerful gaming performance and lag-free multitasking. The power supply of this laptop is an Intel’s Core i7-9750H processor. And this is one of the most innovative chipsets in Intel’s H-Series, with high-quality graphics, 12 threads, and a maximum clock speed of up to 4.5 GHz.

When it comes to processing graphics, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU is a decent choice, capable of running high-end titles such as the Forza Horizon 4 with more than 50 FPS without any preset changes and downgrades. Lenovo also brings in 4GB of VRAM for intricate texture and graphics processing. When it comes to storage, the Legion continues to innovate with a 512GB SSD and a 1TB HDD in the mix.
