Essential Takeaways: A recent survey of 500 neurodiverse founders in the UK revealed that discrimination is a common experience in the business world. While only 4% said they never face discrimination, 31% reported experiencing it regularly. Neurodiversity, which includes conditions like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, affects an estimated 15% of the population. Despite the challenges, there have been improvements over time, with more founders believing it’s easier for neurodiverse individuals to succeed in business now compared to the past.

High-profile entrepreneurs like Richard Branson and Jo Malone have highlighted how their neurodiversity has contributed to their success. Two-thirds of founders feel that their neurodiversity enhances their creativity. However, nearly 80% still hide their neurodiversity to some extent, possibly due to misconceptions and lack of understanding. Sarah Kingston, co-founder of In Good Company, emphasized the need for more openness and support for neurodiverse individuals in the workplace.
