Subsea Europe Services Secures Multi-Million Dollar Funding for True Autonomy

Germany-based Subsea Europe Services, a leading provider of autonomous marine survey and underwater inspection solutions, has recently completed a strategic multi-million dollar funding round. This funding will be instrumental in advancing the company’s mission towards achieving ‘True Autonomy’ in marine data workflows.

The investment, which includes contributions from private equity, business angels, and the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, will be used to attract top talent, enhance software and hardware development, and expand the company’s autonomous vessel fleet. By leveraging new-generation sensors and platforms, Subsea Europe Services aims to simplify marine data acquisition and analysis, making it more accessible and cost-effective for a wider range of organizations.

Key initiatives include the development of the ‘Autonomy Engine’ and the addition of new autonomous surface and underwater vehicles to increase capacity for survey and inspection services in the offshore wind industry and other marine sectors. The company’s decision to relocate its headquarters to Rostock will further support its growth strategy, tapping into the region’s expertise in marine innovation.

According to Søren Themann, CEO of Subsea Europe Services, “The investment signifies confidence in our vision to revolutionize marine data workflows and bring us closer to achieving ‘True Autonomy’. By relocating to Rostock, we are well-positioned to access top talent and resources to drive our research and development efforts forward.”
