Xiaomi has officially launched the new Redmi series smartphone, the Redmi 3S Prime in India. The smartphone is priced at INR 8,999 and is now available for sale on Flipkart and the company’s official website, Mi.com. The Redmi 3S is said to be slightly upgraded version of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime was launched alongside the Xiaomi Redmi 3S in India earlier this month, and the two phones are the first Xiaomi phones whose entire stock will be ‘Made in India’, reported Gadgets 360. Xiaomi also said the Redmi 3S is priced at INR 6,999 and will go on sale a week after the Redmi 3S Prime.
Specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime features a 5-inch HD (720p resolution) IPS display which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core (four cores at 1.1 GHz, four cores at 1.4 GHz) processor that comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via micro-SD card. The device also features Adreno 505 GPU and runs on MIUI 7.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Redmi 3S Prime also features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera that features Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. the device also come with a 5 mega-pixel front camera for taking selfies. The Redmi 3S Prime also bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The Redmi 3S Prime also sports a hybrid dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) slot with the second SIM slot also capable of functioning as a micro-SD slot.
For connectivity, the Redmi 3S Prime supports options 4G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Micro-USB. The device is backed with a 4,100 mAh battery, and measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm.
