Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro smartphone spotted online with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and Android 7.0 Nougat OS

The Chinese Tech giants Xiaomi recently released a teaser for the upcoming event in which the company will launch the Xiaomi Mi 5s smartphone, which is said to be the successor of its much popular smartphone of the year, the Xiaomi Mi 5. It is also expected that the company will also unveil the long rumored Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone.

Now, as per the new leaks, the specifications of a much powerful smartphone, which is said to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro has been spotted online. Meanwhile the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphone is reported to come with dual-edge screen and 6 GB RAM, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro will feature a whopping 8 GB RAM with a quad-core 2.6GHz CPU, running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 8 on top. The chipset is likely to be the new Snapdragon 821 which is also rumoured to feature in the Mi Note 2. A screenshot posted on Weibo shows the ‘About phone’ page of the alleged Mi Note 2 Pro.

While the details on the Mi Note 2 Pro are limited, it is likely that Xiaomi will reveal the device a few months after the launch of the Mi Note 2, just like the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. It is also possible that the leaked screenshot is simply a variant of the Mi Note 2, which will likely be known in a week from now.

Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Mi Note 2 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch OLED display with both Full-HD (1080p) and Quad-HD (1440p) variants. The Smartphone is expected to come in two variants, one with Full-HD regular display will feature 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB internal storage, while the one with Quad-HD curved display will features 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

Both the smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The 64 GB internal storage model is expected to have a 16 mega-pixel rear camera, while the other 128 GB variant is expected to house dual 13 mega-pixel rear cameras. Both the variants will also come with 8 mega-pixel front shooter. The devices will be backed with a 3,700 mAh battery.
