The leaks around the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 have been around since July, but the smartphone has not been revealed yet. A new leak now suggests that the Mi Mix 3 could be launched as early as October 15th. Xiaomi chairman Lin Bin had previously confirmed a launch in October, and this leak seems to lend more weight to this claim. CEO Lei Jun also said he would “force” his colleagues to “speed up” mass production and “fight for large-scale sales” by the end of October. Considering all this, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 should be launched on October 15th and put on sale by the end of the month.
A Mi Mix 3 poster has been released on Weibo, showing the launch date of October 15, and indicates that it will be the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center. Of course, this is just a leak and no official confirmation from Xiaomi has been received. The company had previously announced that it would launch the device on September 15, but that was not the case either. We recommend you take everything with a pinch of salt until an official launch date is announced by Xiaomi itself. Another image leak (visible below) on Weibo shows the Mi Mix 3 with a real design without a bezel, which has also been widely disclosed before.
Recent leaks indicate that the Mi Mix 3 will have a camera cursor similar to that of the Oppo Find X, but it will be manual and will not be motorized. Price leaks indicate that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3’s 6GB RAM / 64GB storage variant will start at $510, the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model will start at $555, and the one with 8GB RAM, the 128GB storage variant will start at $600. A premium storage model of 8GB RAM/256GB will also be available starting at $645.
As for the specifications, rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 should include a Samsung QHD + AMOLED screen with COP packaging technology. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC 845 and a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
