Xiaomi Announces Pocophone Smartphone Series

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it is working on a new series of smartphones, called Pocophone. The company has also revealed that Poco by Xiaomi will be launched in India.

The confirmation comes from Jani Mani, India’s Lead Product Manager of Xiaomi, on her official Twitter account. The tweet reads: “Today is a special day, I’m excited to tell you more about the new project I’ve worked in. Wish me luck! @IndiaPOCO @GlobalPocophone.” The tweet has Poco by Xiaomi Twitter handle for India, which means that the new lineup with introduced in the country. Furthermore, Xiaomi India also retweeted Mani tweet with wishing him luck, which further strengthens this claim.

The first smartphone of this new brand could be none other than Pocophone F1. The device has been leaked on numerous occasions and has revealed the most important specifications, design, and potential price. The Pocophone F1 remembers some important specs and features a 5.99-inch Full HD + screen with a screen resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 19: 9 aspect ratio, which means it will be delivered with top performance.

The phone becomes a flagship device because it is reported to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform along with the Adreno 640 GPU. At the front of the memory, you can get a 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM, and it may be available in storage variants of 64 GB and 128 GB. The Pocophone F1 has a dual setup at the rear. There will be a 12 MP primary lens and a 5 MP secondary sensor. For the front, it is equipped with a 20MP camera for selfies and video calling.

The phone works on Android 8.1 Oreo and is supported by a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. On the connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, 3.5 mm audio connection and USB Type-C port.
