Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo X7 and X7 Plus smartphones in June which were said to be the successor to Vivo X6 and X6 Plus. The Vivo X7 is priced at 2,498 Yuan (approx $375 / INR 25,100) while the Vivo X7 Plus costs 2,798 Yuan (approx $420 / INR 28,100). At the time of launch, both the devices were available only in Gold and Rose Gold color options.
As per the reports, the company has now launched a new Gray color variant of the X7 smartphone which will go for sale in China tomorrow. The smartphones will come with a physical home button on the front which also houses the fingerprint sensor. So far, the devices are available only in the Chinese market. Both the devices comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.
The Vivo X7 features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution while the Vivo X7 Plus comes with a slightly larger 5.7-inch display with the same resolution. The devices are powered by the same Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. Both smartphones come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via micro-SD card. The Vivo X7 and X7 Plus runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based FunTouch 2.5.1 OS.
The Vivo X7 features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection auto-focus) and a 16 mega-pixel selfie camera. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging with dual chip charging technology. On the other hand, the Vivo X7 Plus comes with a 16 mega-pixel sensor on rear and front while the rear sensor support PDAF for fast focusing. With the slightly larger form factor, the Vivo X7 Plus includes a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery.
