Sony Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Ultra Launch Date and Specs Revealed

Sony has just launched the Xperia XZ3 at IFA in August and now seems to be working on bringing to market a new Xperia XA3 midrange series. The Sony Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra suffered leaks in renderings and videos suggesting an imminent launch. We see the two devices sporting a similar design language with thin chins at the top and bottom and negligible borders on the left and right edges. At the rear, both devices have a horizontally stacked two-camera configuration. The fingerprint sensor is mounted laterally, as on previous Sony devices. The specifications of both variants were also leaked in detail.

Both devices have a similar design, although the Ultra variant has a larger screen. As noted earlier, both phones have thin upper and lower chin frames, a side fingerprint sensor between the power and volume flip-flops, and a horizontally stacked rear dual camera. The Sony and Xperia logos are also engraved on the back. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the top edge, while the speakers are located on the bottom edge of the unit.

Regarding the specifications, the report states that the Sony Xperia XA3 will run Android Pie and that it displays a screen of 5.9 inches (1080×2160 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. It should be powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor, combined with 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage should reach 64 GB. The connectivity options are as follows: 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac Wi-Fi dual-band, low power Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, VoLTE 4G and a USB Type-C port. The Xperia XA3 will measure 155.7 x 68.3 x 8.4 mm.

The Sony Xperia XA3 Ultra, meanwhile, has a full HD + 6.5 inches (1080×2160 pixels) with a ratio of 18: 9 aspect ratio, and measures at 167.4×73.3×8.3mm. The report says the Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra could be launched in the fourth quarter of 2018 or CES 2019 in January.
