Sony Xperia XA to go sale in India from June 22: Price and Specifications

Late last month, Sony announced the Xperia X flagship smartphone and the mid-range Xperia XA in India. While the Sony Xperia X has already gone on sale, the company said that the Sony Xperia XA will be available starting third week of June. Now, citing sources, GSMArena reports that the smartphone will go on sale starting June 22 and will be available for Rs 20,999.

Sony Xperia XA Specifications

The Xperia XA features a 5.0-inch HD Mobile BRAVIA engine 2 display technology with 1,280 * 720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density). The device is powered by a 64-bit Media-Tek MT6755 octa-core processor that comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 200 GB via micro-SD card. The smartphone also has ARM Mali-T860 MP2 700MHz GPU and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

On the camera front, the device features a 13 mega-pixel main camera with 1/3-inch Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Quick launch, Hybrid Auto-Focus, HDR photo, 5x Clear Image Zoom and Auto-Scene Recognition features, and an 8 mega-pixel front-snapper with Sony Exmor R for mobile sensor, Auto-Focus, Wide angle lens (88 degree), Low-light photography and HDR photo. The phone is backed with a 2300 mAh battery with connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth.

Sony is also offering some freebies worth Rs 2,700 to the buyers. These include free three months subscription for Sony LIV and Hungama Play, Kindle e-books worth Rs 1,000, and some pre-installed games including Modern Combat with free credits up to Rs 780.
