Oppo does not believe in the marketing standard of an annual renewal cycle. The company is on the eve of the launch of the Oppo F9, the successor to the Oppo F7 that was launched in March of this year, and now a TENAA statement suggests that it wants to do the same with its R-series. After the launch of the Oppo R15 in March of this year, the leaks of the Oppo R17 have already surfaced. Now the smartphone is spotted at TENAA, claiming that the launch is near.
The Oppo R17 was also spotted during a promotional event in China, which suggests that the company has already sold the device on the domestic market. The alleged Oppo R17 TENAA list shows two model numbers – PBEM00 and PBET00. The photos shown show the front display, but the notch in the water drop observed in previous leaks is not visible. At the rear is a vertical dual camera setting with the fingerprint sensor underneath. The power button is on the right while the volume buttons are on the left side of the smartphone.
Unfortunately, the complete specifications are not yet mentioned, but the site reveals that the Oppo R17 has a 6.4-inch screen, a 3.415 mAh battery and a size of 157.5×22.214.171.124 mm. The Oppo R17 seems to have a glass back and metal edges. A previous leak indicates a notch in the display of water droplets and negligible edges on all the other sides.
The big highlight of the Oppo R17 smartphone is expected to be the 10 GB of RAM support, thus, making it the first smartphone to achieve this performance. According to a previous leak, it will also feature a 4K OLED screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.9 percent.
