The new Oppo F9 officially comes on August 15, the company announced in a press release. The new smartphone has VOOC charging, dual camera settings at the back, a small notch for the selfie snapper and a lovely rear panel with a gradient color design. The first two markets to receive the telephone are Vietnam and the Philippines.
The Oppo F9 gets the 5V/4A fast charging that has not been seen in an F-series smartphone since the introduction of the Oppo F1 in March 2017. It is usually the top of 50% of the power source in 30 minutes, and it is a safe bet that it will be the same with the new device and its 3,500 mAh battery.
Earlier rumors suggested that the Oppo F9 will have a screen of 6.3 “with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 Full-HD Plus, and today the company confirmed the information, calling up the display” Oppo’s first Waterdrop screen “and saying it is a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%. It also has a small notch in a triangular shape, in which only the selfie camera is placed, while the speaker will be implemented in the super sharp thin edge on top.
Oppo is a fan of funky smartphone design since the R1x that was introduced in early 2015. The Diamond Black design was reborn in the Oppo F7 and the Realme 1, and now the F9 goes a step further and adds a gradient design. The beauty is that the color changes not only on the back but also on the sides. Official colors are Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple, “with inspiration coming from nature,” as Oppo said in the press release.
The official message did not reveal any real specifications, but the Vietnamese section of the corporate website confirmed previous leaks – Helio P60 chipset, 4.66 GB memory combination, 16 + 2 MP dual camera settings and a 25 MP selfie shooter. The Oppo F9 arrives in Vietnam for VND8 million or about PHP18,300 (this is equal to $345/ €300). Pre-orders start on August 15, with the actual launch of the market scheduled for August 24.
