News Summary:

  • In which Zostel uses Google Maps to display all of its properties in India and Nepal and allow customers to make direct reservations. Deep Banka, the chief operating officer, commented on the app launch: “Since its beginning, Zostel has created a dedicated fan following of travellers who are continuously searching for new experiences in other locales. They rely on Zostel for recommendations as well as inexpensive, secure, and exciting lodging.

  • The Zostel app was made available for iOS and Android users. The Zostel app, which is now available on the App Store and the Play Store, will provide customers with the utmost convenience when booking their stays at any of the 64 hostels that Zostel operates throughout India and two hostels in Nepal. When the new app launches on September 2, 2022, customers will have priority booking access, allowing them to reserve dates that haven’t yet become available on Zostel’s OTA partners’ or even its own websites. The Great Zostel Map will also be available on the app.

The new Zostel app brings all of this and more under a single umbrella, and building this app was the next natural progression for us in our XX-year-long journey. We are present in 60+ locations currently, and we will only grow further in the next couple of quarters, so creating an app is a necessity for us at this point. We are confident that the app will be popular among travellers and look forward to their response. Users booking through the Zostel app will gain prior access to inventory that gives them the opportunity to plan their travel well in advance.
