Xiaomi Announced Mechanical Keyboard For Gaming With RGB Backlighting

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has launched several gaming products this year. The line-up includes a VR headset, a gaming smartphone, the Mi Gaming Mouse, a two Mi Mousepads and, more recently, another gaming mouse from the e-sports company Blazing Soul or Yu. Now the electronics manufacturer has revealed a new mechanical gaming keyboard. In particular, the price tag attached to this mouse is CNY 229 (about $34). The main highlights of the Xiaomi game keyboard are 104 keys, RGB backlight and a metal cap.

As mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi game keyboard comes with a custom game axis, a 104-key design, RGB backlighting and an aluminum cover. The mechanical gaming keyboard is available in China via Xiaomi’s online store in the country, as well as Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform Youpin.

Regarding specifications, the Xiaomi Game Keyboard is equipped with a new independent body play assistant body developed in collaboration with TTC. The triggering force lies between the red axis and the black axis, which ensures a responsive and balanced expression. Xiaomi claims that it has a total stroke of 3 mm, making it feel more comfortable. In particular, the return rate in the game keyboard is up to 1000Hz, thanks to the Sonix 32-bit ARM master MCU.

Xiaomi says the game keyboard comes with a 33-key rollover, with anti-ghosting technology. The left large keyboard area and the directional keypad area support n-key rollover, the company claimed. The game keyboard also adopts an ergonomic button arrangement designed to support the angle of several fingers.

For lighting, the Xiaomi Game Keyboard comes with a simple design. It supports RGB dynamic light effects and users can control the patterns of lighting to switch between RGB wave, RGB chase and RGB breathe. They can also adjust speed, adjust brightness and change color.

In addition, the Xiaomi gaming keyboard comes with a two-color injection keycap from PBT and PC. In particular, the top cover is made of 5052 Korean aluminum by stamping, grinding, CNC, sandblasting, anodizing, and laser engraving.
