Xbox teases The Elder Scrolls 6

Tech Highlights:

  • “You go back and you read a review of the first Elder Scrolls. And then you read The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion’s, then you read The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s. You blackout a couple of things. And they read the same,” said Spencer. “‘You’ve stepped out and oh my gosh, it feels so real’.” People change. Technology changes. But the ultimate goal is still to make it so that, when you boot the game up, you feel like you’ve been transported…. The Elder Scrolls VI has got to be a ‘decade game.’ How do you make a game where you go into it, like, “People have to play it for a decade?’”

  • Even if the Elder Scrolls 6 release date is years away, fans are hungry for more information about the next entry in the best-selling and award-winning series, which means Xbox and Bethesda must talk about the game every now and then, even if they don’t want to. To that end, when questioned about the game recently, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer stated that Bethesda Game Studios is seeking to offer a “decade game,” meaning a game that would not only wow gamers at first glance, but also keep them coming back for a decade, as Skyrim has.

While this statement doesn’t reveal much about the game itself, it does shed light on the game’s development. One thing is clear and it’s that Xbox and Bethesda know the game has to be special, which likely means it will be getting extra resources.

As soon as this new PS5 restock kicked off today at Target, social media began to fill up with impressions from customers who were trying to complete a transaction. Per usual, Target’s website immediately started to experience various errors, leading a number of customers to be unable to even add the PS5 to their cart. And even if they did get this far, others were never able to finish the buying process later on in the transaction.

Another new restock of the PlayStation 5 took place at Target early this morning. The new sale process was divulged by the retail giant ahead of time, and as such, most customers looking to buy the hardware were prepared in advance. Sadly, despite being so prepared, and even completing the purchasing process, Target ended up canceling a fair number of orders that it released today.
