Wolverine’s exclusivity for the PS5 has been declared for Xbox and PC

Tech Highlights:

  • PlayStation shocked the world by revealing a Wolverine game that is exclusive to the PS5 and thus bad news for every Marvel fan on Xbox and PC.

  • PS5 – For Xbox and PC, Wolverine exclusivity for PS5 explained

Insomiac Games’ Wolverine will not be on or come to Xbox Series X as it is a PS5 exclusive.

Its next-gen status means that it will also not be available on PS4 similar to Spider-Man 2 but unlike Spider-Man Miles Morales and God of War Ragnarok. We know very little about the in-development game as all the trailer truly showed was Logan’s battered knuckles and then his famous claws.

The PlayStation showcase was a superhero heavy event as we got another look at the Guardians of the Galaxy, and we were also treated to a significant teaser for Spider-Man 2. Not only did this teaser confirm the returning bromance of Miles and Peter, but it also revealed the arrival of the roided-out Venom.

As of now, Insomniac Games’ Logan isn’t coming to Steam or the Epic Games store, but there’s more chance of that happening in the faraway future then there is for Xbox.

Some of Sony’s first-party titles have made their way to computers such as Horizon Zero Dawn, but many others haven’t such as Spider-Man, The Last Of Us, and Bloodborne. Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy have just been announced for PC though, so it’s possible that more PlayStation exclusives will make their way to Steam.

There is no release date for when the Wolverine video game is coming out.

The PlayStation Blog says that it is in early development, and we wouldn’t expect it until at least 2024. This is because no release window has been provided unlike Spider-Man 2, and 2023 is scheduled to be the year belonging to the web-slinger.
