Beginning May 9, the City of Denver will perform neighborhood-by-neighborhood tests of its emergency notification and outside warning system. These tests are carried out on a regular basis in May to ensure that systems function correctly in the event of an emergency. The primary safeguard is the Reverse Emergency Notification system, which Denver residents may enrol in here. Jeffco launches LookoutAlert, a new emergency alerting system. From May 9 through May 21, the city will test REN Alerts in different areas in two-hour intervals.
