News: UK supermarket Asda confirms CEO Burnley to leave next year.
LONDON (Reuters) – British supermarket group Asda said Thursday that executive director Roger Burnley will be leaving the store next year, confirming a Sky News report.
Last October, US giant Walmart sold a controlling stake in Asda to billionaire Issa Brothers and private equity group TDR Capital for an enterprise value of £ 6.8 billion ($ 9.5 billion).
Asda said Burnley will exit when the business is fully transferred and once its long-term successor is in place.
