Gearbox added crossplay for other platforms back in 2020 alongside other additions like new skill trees, but PlayStation was left off of that list at the time. Borderlands 3 will have cross-play functionality for PlayStation users, according to the PAX East Gearbox event, which just ended. This means that PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play alongside PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia users. There isn’t a firm timetable yet, but the upgrade will arrive later this spring.
