We do know that the K50 Pro will offer a 4,700 mAh battery which charges at the aforementioned 120W speeds. The phone is also expected to debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset but that bit is still not officially confirmed. Older rumors suggest that the vanilla K50 will use MediaTek’s yet to be announced Dimensity 8000 SoC. The chip is expected to be a step down from the flagship Dimensity 9000 model. We’re also expecting a Redmi K50 Gaming Edition down the line but there’s no info on its release at this point.
While we wait for the Redmi K50 series to be announced in February, China’s 3C agency has gone ahead and added the plain K50 model to its database. The listing shows a Xiaomi gadget with the 2201116SC model number and 67W charging, which is still fast but not as quick as the K50 Pro model’s 120W charging. At this time, we don’t have any additional information about the K50.
