The Oppo Reno 4 Pro will be launched in India on July 31 at 12:30 pm. The successor to the Oppo Reno 3 Pro, which almost impressed us, will hit the Indian market about a month later, the company announced. The Reno 4 Pro has a new camera design, which is more similar to the LG Velvet, in addition to two new colors. It is also the first smartphone of the Reno series with 5G in India. The global variant of the Reno 4 Pro would have a refresh rate of 120 Hz on the screen, instead of 90 Hz available on the Chinese variant. The company may never have had such a plan.
Oppo India stated in a tweet that the Oppo Reno 4 Pro will have a 90Hz screen, instead of the specified 120Hz screen, on the Reno 4 Pro. This could mean that Oppo keeps the Chinese variant specifications for the Reno 4 Pro intact in India and has not changed them, contrary to what several reports previously suggested. The lack of a 120Hz screen on the Reno 4 Pro can make it difficult to place the smartphone in the usual price category below Rs 30,000 that previous Reno smartphones sold in there.
There are smartphones such as Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro and Poco X2 in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment that already offer a 120Hz refresh rate on the screen, although with a less powerful processor than the Reno 4 Pro. The Reno 4 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, while the Poco X2 has a Snapdragon 730G processor, Realme 6 Pro, a Snapdragon 720G processor and Realme 6, a MediaTek Helio G90T processor. Oppo can also prevail in terms of the type of photography it will offer with the Reno 4 Pro. So, perhaps Oppo will make up for the lack of a 120Hz screen on the Reno 4 Pro with other features to match the price.
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro was launched in China last month with a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 +. It is powered by an octa core Snapdragon 765G processor and runs Android 10 ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10. The smartphone comes with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory without support for a microSD card. The Reno 4 Pro has three rear cameras: a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the Reno 4 Pro has a 32 megapixel camera, located in a drilling hole on the screen. The smartphone has stereo speakers and no 3.5mm headset. It is supported by a 4000mAh battery with a 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charge.
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro is also listed on Flipkart prior to its July 31 launch.
The Reno 4 Pro was launched in China last month, but the global variant would have a 120Hz screen instead of the 90Hz screen. It turns out that this was never the case.
