New Leaks Reveals All The Three Upcoming iPhones Side-By-Side

Like every year, next-generation Apple iPhones are circulating for weeks, even though they have not yet been released. I mean, the fictional units, of course, that almost everyone can ask in China months before Apple unveils its new products. We already know that three new iPhones are coming, including an upgraded iPhone X and an “iPhone X Plus” version, both equipped with OLED screens, as well as a cheap LCD iPhone that some people call the iPhone 9. But we have a new video for you and show us all three of Apple’s leaked designs with stunning 4K details.

If you’ve been following the rumors about the iPhone for a few years, maybe you know who Sonny Dickson is. If not, it has produced a large number of leaks over the years. And it’s Dickson who got these 2018 iPhone models in the clip at the end of this post. Now Dickson is not the only person to win fictional units from China, but the YouTube channel DetroitBorg, who created the clip, does a great job presenting their new iPhones in the light of what we already know about them.

As we saw earlier, we see three phones that look like the first generation iPhone X. We have end-to-end designs in all of them, as well as notches that house the TrueDepth camera system that enables Face ID Authentication. The iPhone X and iPhone X Plus are identical copies, but the Plus model has a larger screen, and therefore it houses a larger battery. The size of the notch remains the same, which means that the “ears” screen flanking the notch is more significant in the Plus phone.

The close-ups of this video give us a clear view of the design differences between the new versions of the iPhone X and the iPhone 9. The latter will have a 6.1-inch LCD, smaller than the OLED’s 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus. But more significant than the 5.8-inch panel of the iPhone X. The handset will also have more extensive and smaller sides than other iPhone models, and that’s because we’re looking at an LCD screen that may not be as flexible as OLED.

On the back, the LCD phone has a single lens camera, which is a cost-saving measure. There are rumors that they also do not support 3D Touch and have less RAM than other new iPhones.

Finally, there is another obvious design change for the iPhone 9, which concerns the SIM tray that is positioned lower than expected on the right side of the phone. This probably has to do with the fact that the phone has support for two SIM cards, which would be a novelty for the iPhone.

In about a month, Apple will unveil the new iPhones during this year’s edition of Apple’s traditional late-summer press conference, and phones are expected to be available in stores by the end of September. Some rumors suggest that the release of the LCD model may be postponed to November due to some production difficulties, but we can not say for sure at this point.
