LPD warns residents of new ones Phone Fraud |  CLIN

  • “This is a good reminder that we will not ask for payments of fines, court costs, warrants or legal matters either.  If you receive a call from someone asking for donations for the Lincoln Police Department you should hang up and do not provide any information.”

  • “We want to ensure the public that our agency and all other law enforcement agencies will not call and ask for direct payments to include donations towards our new police chief,” Spilker says.

She says residents who receive a call can report the suspicious activity by calling 402-441-6000.   Ewins will start her new job on  at the end of August.
