Lenovo owned Motorola rumored to replace Moto X series with new Moto Z series

The Lenovo owned firm is reported to change its current flagship of andriod Smartphone series Moto X to a new Moto Z. So, if the reports are true, there will me no Moto X-branded smartphone in the future.

The journey of Moto X started with the launch of first generation Moto X featuring a 4.7 inch display, Snapdragon S4 pro with 2 GB RAM. As per the reports of Venture Beat, Motorola is all set to replace its Moto X line up with all new Moto Z series.

The reports claimed that the Moto Z series will introduce two smartphones codenamed Vector thin and Vertex. The premium model will be named as Moto Z Style (Vector Thin) and the other variant will be Moto Z Play (Vertex).

The reports further claims that the accessories for the new line up will be sold under the name of MotoMods istead of Amps as rumored earlier. Reports also predicted that the Verizon-branded Droid Turbo and Droid Maxx will be renamed to Moto Z Play Droid edition.

Further details of the new Moto Z series are expected to be revealed at Lenovo Tech World in San Francisco on 9th June.

Mean while, Lenovo has launched its two new Moto G devices Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus earlier this week.
