LeEco launches Le Pro 3 smartphone with 6 GB RAM and Snapdragon 821 SoC: Price and Specifications

The China based Technology company LeEco has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the LeEco Le Pro 3 in the home country. The smartphone will be available in China from next week and the interested buyers can register for the smartphone on the company’s official website for the first flash sale. The LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphone will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, Grey, and Silver color variants.

The LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphone will be available in four different variants. The 4 GB RAM/32 GB storage version priced at CNY 1,799 (approx US $270 or INR 18,100), while the 6 GB RAM/64 GB storage version priced at CNY 1,999 (approx $300 or INR 20,100). The company also unveiled two Zhang Yimou editions, named after the famous Chinese filmmaker. The 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage Zhang Yimou edition is priced at CNY 2,499 (approx $375 or INR 25,100), and the 6 GB RAM/128 GB inbuilt storage version has been priced at CNY 2,999 (approx $449 or INR 30,100).

Apart from the RAM and internal storage, rest of the specifications are same for all the variants of the smartphone. Also, the storage on these smartphones cannot be expanded further and only one SIM card slot supports 4G connectivity at a time. Just like the LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2, the LeEco Le Pro 3 smartphone doesn’t have 3.5mm audio jack and comes with a single USB Type-C port for both audio and charging purpose. The company is also touting its Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) support, for hi-fidelity audio, as well as Dolby Atmos-powered audio.

The LeEco Le 3 Pro smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) display with 2.5D curved glass, In-Cell touch tech, and a pixel density of 403 ppi. The device is powered by a 2.35 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone features a 16 mega-pixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, HDR, BSI CMOS sensor, 4K video recording at 30fps, and a slow-motion recording of 720p at 120fps. There is also an 8 mega-pixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 76.5-degree wide-angle lens.

The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner at the back. In terms of connectivity, the LeEco Le Pro 3 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.2, apart from USB Type-C. The smartphone is backed by a 4,070 mAh battery. Apart from a fingerprint scanner, other sensors on board include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an infrared emitter.
