A talented cosplayer gave fans a look at their detailed Classic Suit from Marvel’s Spider-Man, going so far as to imitate one of Peter Parker’s in-game taunts.
A brilliant cosplayer shows off their amazing outfit, which was inspired by the Classic Suit from the Spider-Man PS4 game.
The costume, made by Reddit user u/MoonSpider, is a faithful recreation of the first Spider-Man suit players will unlock in the PlayStation 4 game. u/MoonSpider goes one step further by accurately imitating a line from the opening level of Marvel’s Spider-Man, saying, “Hey, Willy! Writing your memoirs? Don’t forget the hyphen between ‘Spider’ and ‘Man.’” The taunt is heard in the introduction of the game as Spider-Man and the New York Police Department finally pull off a successful raid on Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk’s criminal operations.
While players first start Marvel’s Spider-Man with the Classic Suit, it quickly becomes a tattered mess after the explosive finale of the game’s first mission. Rather than stitching up all the rips and tears, Peter decides to rework the suit and, with a little help from his mentor Doctor Otto Octavius, he designs the Advanced Suit. This take on the character features a large white spider emblem on the chest with further white accents around the hands and feet. If players don’t enjoy this aesthetic, they can swap it out for one of several other designs unlocked by simply playing the game.
Fans were quick to praise u/MoonSpider’s efforts, noting that both the suit and the line delivery are spot on. Many pointed out that while the cosplayer’s voice doesn’t match Yuri Lowenthal, who played Peter in Marvel’s Spider-Man, they do sound eerily similar to Neil Patrick Harris’ version of the character in Spider-Man: The New Animated Series.
