The ban on TikTok video in India has given way to many short video applications. Now, Instagram plans to bring relief to content creators with the short Reels video format. The rolls will be released to Indian users on Wednesday at 7:30 pm IST. However, the public release date was not disclosed.
Users can create 15-second videos to which they can add various effects, filters and audio and share them with followers in their feeds. If the user’s account is public, it can be shared in the new Explore section to reach a wider audience.
According to Instagram, more than 50% of user accounts on the platform worldwide visit the Explore section. The Explore section shows public messages. Now that Reels is shown, short videos are also visible, as the user’s account is public.
“Coils allow people to express themselves while entertaining others, whether it’s trying a new fun dance or getting the message out about something they care about,” Instagram said in a statement.
Ajit Mohan, vice president and general manager of Facebook India, said: “People in India’s big and small cities come to Instagram to express themselves safely and also to have fun. With Reels, we reveal the future of entertainment on the platform, in a way that sparks creativity. With the different creative formats, the way you want to express yourself, now it can be on Instagram. “
India is the fourth country to test Instagram Reels after Brazil, Germany and France.
Users can create their roles by following these steps:
–Select Functions at the bottom of the Instagram camera.
–Functions can be edited using the tools on the left side of the screen.
The tools include:
Audio and RA effects: Instagram users can select songs from the Instagram music library. They can also record the original audio while recording a reel with it. Instagram also has a variety of virtual effects created by Instagram and users around the world. Users can record multiple videos with these effects.
Timer and countdown: Users can record the Reel hands-free by setting the timer.
Alignment: Users can align objects from multiple clips before recording the next one. This helps with seamless transitions, like changing clothes or adding new friends to your roll.
Speed: Users can choose to speed up or slow down part of the video or audio to stay in sync or record videos in slow motion.
Once the role is created, it can be shared privately or publicly on Insta Stories, where it is visible for 24 hours or, if users have a public account and want to reach a larger audience, they can do so through Explore.
Users can share a roll by following these steps:
Public account: Users can share their roll in a dedicated area on Explore, where it will have the opportunity to be seen and discovered by the Instagram community. Users can also place functions in their feeds. To increase visibility, users can share functions with certain numbers, hashtags or effects. These special pages show these functions when someone clicks on the number, hashtag or effect.
Private account: Instagram users with a private account can post functions to their feeds so that their followers can see the shared roll. They can also share stories from Insta or direct messages that remain for 24 hours.
Now, users can create 15-second videos or reels on Instagram, to which they can add various effects, filters and audios and share them with followers in their feeds.
