The company started single-layer production at its plants in Haryana and Haridwar on May 17th. In addition, Hero’s other plans in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh will also start single-shift operations starting next Monday (May 24). In a press release posted earlier on Saturday, the company also announced that the company has already vaccinated more than 90% of all Hero MotoCorp employees over the age of 45. It has also launched an organization-wide initiative to vaccinate the remaining workforce.
The company recently announced the establishment of a 100-bed Covid-19 care facility in Gurugram in the fight against the second wave of Covid-19. The company has partnered with Gurugram County Council to set up the facility.
Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, said: “The Covid Care Center will help expand our medical infrastructure and expand the scope of our relief efforts for the affected people in the district.” Hero shared the image of Covid Care earlier this month on social media: “We are pleased to be setting up a Covid-19 care center with 100 beds together with the #Gurugram district administration, which will make a major contribution to supporting the health infrastructure in the city. ”
