The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are among the best phones on the market because of their excellent cameras, their snappy performance and close integration with Google’s native Android software.
But the next generation of Google’s flagship phones – probably called the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL – could be radically different. Finally, Google took over HTC’s phone hardware team in September 2017 and had since operated its operation. On Monday, it also debuted the latest version of its Android operating system, known as Android Pie, which contains fascinating new features, such as multiplayer AR and improvements to its already superior voice assistant, which can not be found on iPhone (yet).
Google has not formally announced the Pixel 3, so most of which we think we know is based on rumors and rumors. However, we are confident that the company wants to avoid the errors related to the Pixel 2 XL. That phone was bothered by intrusion problems and other defects associated with the OLED display of the phone missteps, which generated quite some media attention, with some initial positive reviews with marginal notes. It also brought attention to the Google warranty, which was eventually broadened to solve the problems. (Note that the OLED display of the iPhone X is also not immune to burn-in.)
