As we have already discussed about the upcoming HTC Nexus Smartphones that are now tipped to be launch under the Google’s new Pixel branding on October 4. The HTC Nexus Marlin will be named as Pixel XL, while the HTC Nexus Sailfish will be named as the Pixel. Now, as per the recent reports, Google is also set to announce and release a new tablet for which, the company has collaborated with Chinese Tech Giants Huawei.
As per the new leaks by the famous Tipster Evan Blass, Google and Huawei partnered up for one more year, after launching the Nexus 6P phablet in 2015. A previous rumor did say that Huawei was working on new Nexus hardware, but that report suggested a Nexus 6P successor would be in the works. According to the tweet of Evan Blass, the new Huawei Tablet will features a 7-inch screen, 4 GB RAM and will release later this year.
As per the Android Headlines, the upcoming Google/Huawei tablet will features a 7-inch Quad-HD display with a resolution of 2560 × 1440. The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that will come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that can be expanded further. The tablet is also reported to come with a 13 mega-pixel rear camera. Still, no information regarding the front camera and battery of the tablet.
The specifications mentioned above are definitely worthy of the “Nexus” name, as series usually features the best of the best in Android hardware, at least for their time. It could also be a new “Pixel” device, though Huawei was noted to have trademarked a “Huawei 7P” name, which calls to mind the Nexus 6P. What so ever it is, the upcoming tablet will surely be a good contender in the tablet market.
