News: Deutsche Bank first-quarter investment bank revenue up 20% so far.
FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Deutsche Bank board member Fabrizio Campelli said Thursday that the investment bank is off to a good start into 2021, with revenue up about 20% year over year in the first quarter.
A pandemic-induced trading boom at the investment bank last year made the German profitable after years of losses, and Campelli said the division’s momentum had continued.
Campelli said at an online banking conference that the investment bank’s revenue growth was across business lines.
“Of course we are very encouraged by this start to the new fiscal year,” he said.
