Dell refreshes XPS 13 laptop with 7th Gen Kaby Lake Processor and a new Rose Gold variant

Undoubtedly, the Dell XPS 13 is regarded as one of the best ultrabook of all time in terms of all the aspects that includes battery life, performance, portability etc. Now, to make it more powerful, company has now upgraded its XPS 13 laptop with seventh generation ‘Kaby Lake‘ Intel Core processors and also added a larger 60WHr battery, which according to the company, increases the battery life of the laptop significantly. To make it more beautiful, company has also announced a new rose-gold variant of the laptop.

As before, you get to choose the display on the laptop, with a choice of either Quad-HD (1440p) + touchscreen or full-HD (1080p) display (which also comes with an optional touchscreen SKU). According to Dell, the battery on the laptop lasts for around 22 hours for the full-HD screen, option while the battery life will be around 13 hours for the Quad-HD+ option. The Dell XPS 13 now comes with 1535 Wireless-AC technology, which according to company ensures a stronger and more reliable Wi-Fi connection.

The new Rose Gold variant is available in two configurations. The first variant packs a seventh generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, and 13.3-inch full-HD display, while the second variant comes with an seventh generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, and a 13.3-inch Quad-HD+ touchscreen display. The hardware on the laptop can be configured further more up to 1 TB of SSD and up to 16 GB RAM on both the variants.

The new series of Dell XPS 13 laptops will start from $799 (approx INR 63,500). A developer edition of the laptop will also be available from October 4 and will start from $949 (approx INR 63,600). As per a report by Engadget, Dell has said that the Rose Gold variant of the laptop will start from $1,179 (approx INR 79,000).
