News: Britain sets long-term conditions to expand fibre broadband.
LONDON (Reuters) – The UK on Thursday announced it would create the conditions for BT to invest billions of pounds in expanding full fiber broadband nationwide by offering flexibility in pricing its fastest services.
“We want all companies to have a fair return on investment over their entire investment period, and we do not expect them to adopt cost-based pricing for fiber services for at least ten years,” said regulator Ofcom.
