The Solo3s received an external update in 2019 after an initial launch in 2016, so they’re not exactly the latest in Apple-made headphones. But what they lack in fancy features (like spatial audio support and adaptive EQ) they do with great sound quality, easy pairing, comfortable, noise-isolating ear cups, and a ridiculously long battery life of up to 40. more than hours per charge – which is why they are still one of our all-time favorite on-ear headphones to this day.

The Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones are $150 off of their usual $299 price at Walmart. At their original price, the headphones’ glossy plastic construct paled in comparison to other, less expensive wireless on-ear models. But for a 50 percent discount, it’s less of a concern.

As noted in our 2016 review, their sound profile is more ideal for bombastic electronic music than it is for, say, acoustic performances, but these headphones are nevertheless good at providing lasting comfort and battery life of over 10 hours — even if the latter falls short of Apple’s 40-hour claim.
