Last week, we also had a major Facebook outage, affecting not only Facebook, but Instagram and WhatsApp as well. In fact, a lot of things didn’t seem to work on Monday. I did find it a bit refreshing though, if I’m going to be honest. I was so much more productive during the interruption because I just had no reason to be distracted other than Twitter.
Hello again, and welcome back to another week of Apple news. Last week marked the tenth anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death; may he rest in peace. Even though I still love my Apple goods, everything seemed so much better when Jobs was in charge. You know, it had a particular delicacy to it.
It was a good break. However, the big Facebook outage of 2021 also showed how Facebook is too big right now; While it may not be true in the US, other countries rely on WhatsApp to communicate with friends and family, and well, that was not the case. possible for about six hours.
Moving on to Apple-related news, Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders spiked last Friday, and boy, did they go fast? Personally, I have no interest in the Series 7 as I have been hugely disappointed with what we got this year.
I long for the days when Facebook wasn’t involved with almost anything and everything, but alas, here we are. Regardless, I guess I could use more Facebook breaks.
Without a major redesign, the battery life remains the same and there are no new health sensors of any kind. For me, there is nothing worth upgrading to my Titanium Series 5. Hopefully, the Series 8 will be worth upgrading next year.
Still, if you’ve been using a Series 3 or earlier, then the Series 7 is a worthy upgrade. I just hope you managed to receive your order on time because I heard they left narrowly! We’ll have a full Series 7 review in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
