There’s also his 12-inch tablet for binge shows and his laptop for light gaming (or work). The Honor 70 is part of an upcoming series, but the Honor 80 has yet to hit the UK and no pricing has been announced. The 70 is a well-rounded mid-ranger with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display (120Hz, HDR10+) and a Snapdragon 778G+. A lot of this segment sticks to the basic 8MP ultra-wide angle, but the Honor doesn’t.
It costs almost twice as much as the Honor 70, but it packs the flagship his Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and switches to an LTPO display (variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz) to increase pixel density ( 460ppi vs. 395ppi). It also has tempered glass and an IP68 rating (the Honor 70 lacks basic protection). Even better, there’s a 64MP 90mm periscope lens (with 3.5x magnification) and a 3D ToF sensor, along with a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front are another ToF sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle (100°) selfie camera.
The tiny 4,600 mAh battery doesn’t last as long as the Honor ’70s. Magic4 Pro lasts 82 hours. After all, fast charging – 30 minutes with a USB cable (100W) and 40 minutes with a 100W wireless charger. The Honor Earbuds 3 Pro delivers great sound quality, even at high volumes. 11mm drivers and piezoelectric tweeters deliver powerful bass and clear highs. The Honor also nailed fit and comfort, and while active noise cancellation is excellent, it can sometimes fall short in automatic mode. Overall, I was pretty impressed with the bud when it was £170, but now it looks even better with the £61 discount.
