News Summary:
The survey was sent out recently by Nintendo UK and specifically asked Nintendo fans a question regarding Metroid Prime Remastered, and in the process referred to Metroid Prime 4. Specifically, it noted that “[ Metroid Prime Remastered] seems like a good way to pass the time until Metroid Prime 4 comes out.” It’s nothing remarkable in itself, but many Nintendo fans have pointed out that setting up Metroid Prime 4 isn’t just weird, it’s talk about releasing it if it doesn’t come out soon. Add to that the stealthy release of Metroid Prime Remastered earlier this year, and some Nintendo fans can’t help but wonder if this year, or possibly next, is finally time for Metroid Premium 4 to come out.
Nintendo fans are desperate to know what’s happening with Metroid Prime 4 and when the Nintendo Switch game will be released. The fourth installment in the beloved series was announced at E3 2017, almost six years ago. Not only is it still unclear when it will be released, but Nintendo fans have yet to see anything of the game being developed at Retro Studios. Sadly, none of that has changed, but some Nintendo fans can’t help but wonder if the wait is coming to an end following a new survey sent out by Nintendo.
For now, let’s take it all in here, speculation. It’s impossible to know what should and shouldn’t be done in this investigation, especially since it’s coming from Nintendo UK and not Nintendo. As you’d expect, this speculation was not commented on by Nintendo. We didn’t anticipate this change for a variety of reasons, but if it does, we’ll update the story accordingly. In the meantime, please leave a comment or two to let us know what you think.
