Unless Xbox consoles are displaying inaccurate information, it seems as though For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will be added to Xbox Game Pass on June 1. Assassin’s Creed Origins is coming a little later, currently scheduled for a June 7 debut on Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft will likely announce the new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 come June 1, so fans will find out then what other titles will be joining these games.
The Xbox Game Pass ‘Coming Soon’ section has confirmed the release dates for two titles that will be available in June 2022. Microsoft did something a bit different with its Xbox Game Pass announcements back in April. While announcing the new Xbox Game Pass games coming soon, the company also revealed that two Ubisoft games will be joining the programme in the “next two months.” The new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 have yet to be officially revealed by Microsoft, but courtesy to the “Coming Soon” feature on consoles, we already know when Assassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will be available.
Some Xbox Game Pass subscribers may be confused by the addition of For Honor: Marching Fire Edition since For Honor is already available on Xbox Game Pass. However, For Honor: Marching Fire Edition is a more complete version of Ubisoft’s melee-focused online multiplayer game. It adds the Wu Lin faction to the game, plus it will let PC Game Pass subscribers get in on the action as well.
For Honor: Marching Fire Edition and Assassin’s Creed Origins aren’t the only games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in June 2022. Two other games are currently confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in June 2022. On June 21, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of Shadowrun Trilogy, while day one game Escape Academy is coming to Game Pass on June 28. More new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 will likely be announced on June 1. At that point, it’s likely that Microsoft reveal the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in the first half of June 2022 while also confirming the games that will be leaving in the middle of the month.
Assassin’s Creed Origins, meanwhile, is a landmark release in Ubisoft’s long-running open world franchise. Assassin’s Creed Origins marked the first game where AC became more of an RPG than a straight-forward action-adventure game. It laid the foundation for what would follow in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, setting the AC franchise in a bold new direction. There are also rumors that a big Assassin’s Creed Origins next-gen upgrade could be on the way soon, so it will be interesting to see if that coincides with its Game Pass debut.
