Micromax has officially launched the Canvas Unite 4 Plus smartphone in the home country. The The smartphone is priced at INR 7,999 (approx US $120) and comes with Indus OS 2.0, which is first regional OS that supports 12 Indian regional languages. Canvas Unite 4 Plus has a fingerprint sensor, an all metal body design and is a 4G ready device.
Micromax says Unite series is the most successful range crossing over 2.5 million units in sales till date. Earlier in June 2016, Micromax launched the Micromax Canvas Unite 4 and Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Plus smartphone in the country and are priced at INR 6,999 (approx $105) and INR 7,499 (approx $112) respectively.
Specifications of Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Plus
The Canvas Unite 4 Plus features a 5-inch IPS HD display and is powered by MediaTek quad-core processor that comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 64 GB via micro-SD card. The device runs on Indus OS 2.0 based on Android Marshmallow OS.
The smartphone features an 8 mega-pixel rear camera that comes with auto-focus and a 5 mega-pixel front camera for selfies. The device ix backed with a 2,500 mAh battery.
The talking point of the Indus OS is the support for 12 regional languages. The OS also features an App Bazaar, which is basically an app store in regional language, Indus-to-Indus free messaging services, Indus Swipe feature and more. The Indus Keyboard in the Unite 4 Plus has a hybrid keyboard feature, which allows users to type in a mix of English and regional languages. It also has patented word predictions, matra predictions and auto-correction features offering a user-friendly smartphone experience.
