Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus Smartphones Launched With In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

Meizu launched Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus and expanded its product portfolio. Both devices will be released in China on August 16. Meizu 16 price is 2698 yuan, Meizu 16 Plus price is 3198 yuan. Both phones have a 6-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla glass on top. Both devices run the Oreo operating system of Android 8.0 with its own Flyme OS layer.

This duo combines the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6 GB/8 GB of RAM. Meizu 16 has two built-in storages: 64 GB and 128 GB. Meizu 16 Plus, on the other hand, has two storage versions, 128 GB and 256 GB. The smartphone comes with a custom copper cooling tube and a fingerprint sensor in the display. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor has a high recognition rate of 99.12%.

This device comes with dual rear camera setup. On the back of the mobile phone, there is a 12MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture Sony IMX 380 sensor and a second 20MP telephoto lens with Sony IMX 350 sensor for portrait shooting. There is also a 20 MP front shooting game with AI’s beauty recognition and face lock release function.

Meizu 16 has a battery of 3010 mAh and Meizu 16 Plus has a battery of 3500 mAh. This device also supports 24 W m Charge flash charging technology. As for the connectivity, both smartphones offer 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type C.
