Lenovo has officially announced new thin and light weight laptop, the Lenovo Air 13 Pro. The laptop is said to be a good competitor to the recently launched Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air as both the laptops have similar specifications and price. Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air was announced on Wednesday i.e. July 27.
Lenovo’s Air 13 Pro is already available for pre-registration and currently carries a price tag of CNY 4,999 (approx US $765 or INR 51,400), which is exactly the same as the price tag on 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air. Specifications of Lenovo Air 13 Pro
Lenovo’s Air 13 Pro laptop features a 13.3-inch IPS display. The laptop is powered by an Intel i5-6200U processor that comes with 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. It also features a powerful 2 GB Nvidia GT940MX graphic card. The laptop weighs 2.84 pounds (1.29 kg) as compared to 2.82 pounds (1.28 kg) on Mi Notebook Air. Both laptops are 14.8 mm thin.
The Lenovo Air 13 Pro comes with one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0 and one USB-C port for charging. Lenovo Air 13 Pro comes with 46 Whr battery which is rated at 7.5 hours. While Lenovo may fall a little behind Mi Notebook Air in terms of specifications, the laptop surely is an immediate competition that has arrived from nowhere.
One feature that distinguishes Lenovo’s laptop from that of Xiaomi is fingerprint recognition. Fingerprint recognition is a useful feature and its absence on Mi Notebook Air can possibly tilt the tide in Lenovo’s favour.
