At the beginning of this year, Chinese Tech company LeEco announced the first ever smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset – the Le Max Pro. Also, recently the company had the first batch of commercially-available smartphones in 2016 to not have a 3,5 mm audio jack — the Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 handsets. Out of the trio, the Max 2 has the most powerful hardware that is Snapdragon 820 that comes with 6 GB RAM.
It looks like once again LeEco will be the first company to have a phone sporting Qualcomm’s latest silicon inside. It’s holding an event on June 29, during which it’s expected to unveil the first handset powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 823 (also known as Snapdragon 821 sometimes), which is basically just an improved version of the 820.
Also, we’ve been hearing rumors about a LeEco Max 2 Pro that would feature the whopping 8 GB RAM, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821. However, a new AnTuTu benchmark listing shows us that we may very well see another LeEco smartphone announced alongside the 8 GB RAM monster.
As you can see in the above image, this is a LeEco phone with the Qualcomm MSM8996pro SoC – that’s been rumored to be the model name of the SD823. The device has a 1080p touchscreen, a 16 mega-pixel rear camera, and an 8 mega-pixel front camera. The device has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The new LeEco smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
