Sony’s Xperia XZ2 was released in February this year, but rumors suggest that Sony’s flagship smartphone series is poised for a mid-year upgrade. The Xperia XZ3 provisionally called came up on the Internet with a leaked spec sheet as well as model numbers seen on Sony’s official website. According to the report, the inmates are expected to be inspired by the XZ2 Premium launched in April 2018. There will be a 19-megapixel primary camera sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary with a f/1.6 aperture. Also, the phone will run the Android 8.1 Oreo and will have a full-HD+ display of 5.7 inches (1080×2160 pixels).
The Xperia XZ3 dual-SIM (Nano), in the leaked specifications sheet, is characterized by presenting a SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core, coupled to 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of onboard storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 400 GB), and the battery is limited to 3,240 mAh.
The connectivity options in the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C and IP68 water resistance. Dimensions are 153x72x10.1mm, and weight is 183 grams. The report suggests that we can see an Xperia XZ3 launch at IFA 2018 later this month. The Gadgets 360 could not independently verify the authenticity of this leak and therefore should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Separately, instances of two new smartphones were seen on Sony’s official website. The two model numbers, as mentioned above, were found hidden in UAProfs user agent profiles. Alphanumeric patterns are in line with the Xperia XZ2 (H82XX) and XZ2 Premium (H83XX), suggesting that XZ3 and XZ3 Premium may be available soon. Both have a full-HD+ screen resolution of 1080×2160 pixels.
