Huawei launched Nova, Nova Plus smartphones and MediaPad M3 tablet: Price and Specifications

The Chinese Tech Giants Huawei unveiled there first offering at IFA 2016. The company launched two new smartphones, the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus. Along with the smartphones, company also launched a new tablet, the Huawei MediaPad M3. The Nova and Nova Plus will be available in Europe later this month. Though, there is no information regarding the global availability of the smartphones.

Starting with the Huawei Nova Plus, the smartphone comes with an all aluminium uni-body that features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS LCD display and is powered by 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC that comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB expandable storage (up to 128 GB via micro-SD card). The device features a 16 mega-pixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization) and an 8 mega-pixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Huawei Nova Plus features fingerprint scanner at the back, Type-C USB port for charging/ data transfer, hybrid dual-SIM support and runs on Emotion UI (EMUI) based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The smartphone is backed with a 3,320 mAh battery. The Nova Plus is priced at €430 (approx US $480 or INR 32,000).

Now, the Huawei Nova is the smaller sibling of Huawei Nova Plus that too features an all aluminium uni-body and features a 5-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD display. The device features a 12 mega-pixel primary camera with PDAF (phase detection auto-focus) and is backed with a 3,020 mAh battery. Rest of the specifications of the Huawei Nova is same as that of Huawei Nova Plus. The Huawei Nova is priced at €400 (approx US $446 or INR 29,700).

As for the Huawei MediaPad M3, it features a 8.4-inch Quad-HD (1440p) display and is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core Hi-silicon Kirin 950 processor that comes with 4 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal storage variants (expandable up to 128 GB via micro-SD card). The tabled comes with an 8 mega-pixel rear camera and an 8 mega-pixel front camera.

The Huawei MediaPad M3 runs Android 6.0, comes with a fingerprint scanner on the front and is backed by a 5,100 mAh non removable battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth. Sensors on the tablet include Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. The tablet’s price starts from €350 (approx US $390 or INR 26,000).
