As reported earlier, the South Korean Tech Giant LG had confirmed that there upcoming smartphone, the LG V20 will be launched in September. To be more exciting, the company also confirmed that the LG V20 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS and will likely be the first smartphone to do so. But this time, none other than Google has confirmed this information on its official page for Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Google has confirmed that LG V20 will indeed be the “first new smartphone” to run the Android Nougat out-of-the-box. On the Android Nougat official page there is a message towards the bottom that reads — “Introducing the new LG V20, the first new smartphone that comes with Android Nougat, right out of the box. Coming soon”. LG has already announced that the V20 smartphone will be launched at an event in San Francisco starting from September 6.
As we all know that Google will launch the new HTC based Nexus 2016 smartphones with in no time. The two smartphones are rumored to be code-named as HTC Sailfish and HTC Marlin . Also, both the smartphones are rumored to be based on HTC 10 flagship smartphone that was launched earlier this year. Though, we don’t know when Google plans to launch them.
Talking about the specifications of LG V20, it is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) In-Cell display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, and it will come in two variants — 32 GB variant with 3 GB RAM, and 64 GB variant with 4 GB RAM. The smartphone is also expected to feature a micro-SD card slot, an 8 mega-pixel selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and a 4,000 mAh battery.
Also, LG earlier announced that the LG V20 will feature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC capabilities, making it the first of its kind in the world. The South Korean company has once again partnered with ESS Technology for the feature. The ESS Technology also provided the 32 bit DAC for the LG V10.
