BOSE QC35 II Headphones Receives Amazon Alexa Update

Bose QC35 II, the youngest participant in the company’s QuietComfort line for noise reduction, is now updated with Amazon Alexa integration. This means that you can now speak directly to Alexa from your Bose QC35 II. In particular, the headset was unveiled last September with a unique action button to enable the Google Assistant. The same action button can now also be used to activate Alexa. You must update the Bose Connect app and install a new firmware version to get the unique experience.

To enable Alexa for your Bose QC35 II, you must update the Bose Connect app by going to Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on the device. You will also need to install the new firmware from the updated Bose Connect app. After this, you will see the Amazon Alexa option under the My Options section of the app from which you can enable Alexa. If you do not have the Amazon Alexa app installed on your device, the Bose Connect app will first ask you to install the Alexa app. After completing the process, just press the action button on the QC35 II to ask questions to Alexa while on the move.

With the latest development, the Bose QC35 II performs three different uses via the action button, including access to the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, as well as a way to change the noise cancellation settings from high to low or eliminate noise reduction on the headphones.

The arrival of Amazon Alexa not only makes the Bose QC35 II a bit smarter, but it also expands the voice assistant that makes it more difficult for Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri due to its presence on a large number of connected devices. You can use the Alexa integration to access your favorite songs from Amazon Music. Similarly, you can use Alexa on the QC35 II to order something directly from Amazon or see it again or listen to the latest bulletins – all without checking your phone.

The Bose QC35 II has its microphone system with active noise canceling technology to help you ask questions about Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, even in busy environments. There is also a built-in battery pack with a nominal battery life of 20 hours on one charge.
