1. Cyberpunk 2077

A sci-fi RPG title based on Cyberpunk RPG. This production was developed by the studio CD Projekt RED – the team that gained worldwide fame for the successful series The Witcher – actively supported by the co-author of the original system, Mike Pondsmith. The story takes you in 2077, with a technically advanced, though corrupt, future world. The game takes place in Night City, a place well known to fans of the Cyberpunk universe, where intrigue and secrets thrive. Exploring the open world of the game, you learn complex and multithreaded stories through many dialogues, which often pits you against difficult moral choices.

2. The outer worlds

Last year, Wes caught a glimpse of the upcoming RPG from Fallout designers Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. He described it as “a first-person shooter, focused on role-playing above all.” There are several paths in each scenario – combat, conversation, stealth – and an emphasis on player choices. And, as it is a Tim Cain game, you can play like a fool and have the appropriate dialogue options.

3. Wasteland 3

This time it’s cold. Wasteland 3 borrows the Torment: Tides of Numenera dialogue system, adds vehicles and moves party-based RPGs to Colorado, where even post-apocalyptic bandits must team up to keep themselves comfortable. One of the reasons we look forward to Wasteland 3 is the addition of two-player cooperation, which does not always appear to be strictly cooperative, to Divinity: Original Sin 2.

4. Warhammer: Chaosbane

If you are looking for a new dungeon tracker with a group of friends, we recommend that you check out Warhammer: Chaosbane. It is a four-player title, where players are played in a world full of battles to search for powerful artifacts from the ancient world. It’s a hack-and-slash title with four different classes to choose from, each with their own skills and equipment.

5. Astral chain

If you liked the job development team that Platinum Games has delivered in recent years, keep an eye on the Astral Chain. In February, Nintendo Direct showed us this new video game that has the same atmosphere and the same action-packed gameplay as the Bayonetta series. We don’t know exactly what the story will be. In the trailer, we see two policemen coming together to shoot large beasts with chains and various weapons.

6. Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Final Fantasy is a basic franchise for the RPG genre and the biggest title in the series to be sold is Final Fantasy VII. The video game was essential for many players to turn to the role-playing genre, but since its initial release on the original PlayStation console, fans have asked Square Enix to come back and remaster the game in recent years. today’s consoles.

7. The Surge 2

Following the success of The Surge, the developers of Deck13 Interactive are working on the continuation of a release planned for 2020. This is a sci-fi action RPG inspired by the Souls series, but in a futuristic setting. Since The Surge, we know that the planet is slowly dying, with most resources being used, causing environmental disease.

8. Borderlands 3

Borderlands is making a big comeback this year. A third major installment will be released in September and it looks like Gearbox Software is bringing back all the beloved mechanisms that have made the game series popular since its launch. This episode will take place after the events in Tales from the Borderlands, where Troy and Tyreen Calypso discovered safes in addition to Pandora.

9. Starfield

Starfield is a new IP RPG title from the Bethesda development team. The development studio is perhaps best known for its variety of Fallout and The Elder Scroll titles, but unfortunately the team has yet to make any revelations. In addition to the official announcement of an RPG title established in space at the E3 press conference for 2020, we have little more to do. The title should be developed for the next generation consoles and will be released before the VI Elder Scrolls.

10. Pokemon Sword and Shield

The Pokemon franchise has been around for a long time and shows no signs of slowing down. After being basically a series of RPGs that remained in Nintendo’s range of handheld devices, Game Freak unveiled the first new main entry for the Nintendo Switch later this year. Currently, the two payments are known as Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which will take place in the Galar region.

This region is filled with a variety of landscapes and landmarks. While we’re still waiting to hear about the new features that will come with the game, players familiar with the previous games will find that the initial section of the game will have an option presented before the journey begins.
