As reported earlier, Asus has finally launched its much awaited Zenfone 3 Series smartphones in India. Under this series, company launched four new smartphones which are named: Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra, Zenfone 3 Laser, and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. While the Asus Zenfone 3 will be available from Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal Mobiles from Wednesday, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra will be available across online and offline retail channels from next month.
All four Zenfone 3 smartphones runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, feature metal bodies, and support hybrid dual-SIM card slots. The company has also announced a variant of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) for India, called the Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition, which runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and bears 256 GB internal storage.
The company at the launch event also announced that the Asus ZenBook 3 and Asus Transformer 3 Pro, devices that were unveiled at Computex 2016 alongside the Zenfone 3 series, will be available from online and offline retail channels in India from October, priced at INR 1,47,990 and INR 1,44,990 respectively.
Now, the company has launched two variants of Zenfone 3 in India, Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) which features a 5.2-inch display, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and a 2,650 mAh battery, as well as the Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) model, which features a 5.5-inch display, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Other specs of both the smartphones are same. Both the devices are powered by 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, features a 16 mega-pixel primary camera and an 8 mega-pixel front shooter for selfies. The company has priced the Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) at INR 21,999, the Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) at INR 27,999
The Zenfone 3 Laser on the other hand sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution) display, and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC that comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via micro-SD card. The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser features a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with laser auto-focus, dual-tone LED flash, and electronic image stabilization. It sports an 8 mega-pixel front facing camera, and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL) is priced at INR 18,999.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is top-end phone among the Zenfone 3 devices. It features a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with fingerprint sensor on the back. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821/820 quad-core processor, 6 GB RAM, 64 GB/128 GB internal storage expandable up to 256 GB via micro-SD card.
The device also features a 23 mega-pixel primary camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, laser auto-focus (with proprietary TriTech system), PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) with 0.03 second focusing ability, f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization, 3-axis electronic image stabilization for steady 4K UHD video recording. It also features quick charge 3.0 technology and Type C v 3.0 USB port. The and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) starts at INR 49,999, with the Snapdragon 821 model priced at INR 62,999.
The Zenfone 3 Ultra is a phablet that features a massive 6.88-inch full HD screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and to power the massive display, the company has incorporated a high-capacity 4,600 mAh battery. It also features the same camera hardware as seen in the Deluxe model. The Zenfone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) is priced at INR 49,999.
