Apple issues first public betas of iOS 12.1, tvOS 12.1

Apple provided a public beta of iOS 12.1 and tvOS 12.1 for testing just two days after the launch of the first developer of the new test cycle.

The first public beta can be downloaded by a registered user of the test software from the Apple Beta Software website. Functionally, the contents of the public beta should be similar to those of the developers of the latest version released on Monday.

The main addition to the beta version of the publicly available version of the iOS 12.1 developer is the Group FaceTime return, which allows 32 people to participate in videoconferencing with the support of MeMojis. This feature was included in the beta version of iOS 12, but was deleted before the final release. Apple will release it with a later update.

AppleInsiderThe installation of a beta on mission-critical hardware, like Apple, can not do because data can be lost. Those interested in the beta test should back up all important data before using the secondary device to install or run the update.
